Prototyping
This bag collection is inspired by the seeming circularity and complexity of life; erected tall and strong but strange and fascinating- its eras come and go suddenly. Though many twists and turns can often create abyss out of harsh toil, it is my belief that sheer curiosity and willingness to change are threads of hope that offer dreamscapes of joy.
Twisted Fates Wallet
This wallet is made from 100% oil tanned bovine leather. I used the laser-cutter to both cut the pattern out and to etch in my design. The etching is hand-drawn and digitalized through Adobe Illustrator. There is a small interior pocket in the inside for card and cash separation, which is attached at the side seams.
Requiem Pouch
Also made from 100% oil tanned bovine leather, This pouch incorporates a UV printed design with themes seen on the inside of the Twisted Fates Wallet, as well as equestrian-style brass hardware. The pattern was laser-cut out and the pouch was hand-stitched with waxed thread.
Reverie Tote
This leather tote bag acts as a culmination of all learned processes thus far. The pattern was cut out with the laser-cutter, the design was UV-printed into the pattern pieces, and the white tag attached to the right strap attachment (when viewed from the front) was 3-D printed. The entire bag was hand-stitched using sturdy wax thread. The intent behind the UV-printed design is to combine the design themes in a more holistic way, showcasing both the seeming end and intense circularity of life on earth. The tote itself is designed to carry a laptop and other work essentials.
